When farhan gave his farewell speech, I could understand and connect.I guess we shouldnt think of just ourselves, but of others. Of what he dreams of, and of what he wants to achieve. Everyone has their own goals and dreams, and we're often told to reach for what we want to achieve.
In part i'm sad redarding his departure. I mean he brought the team to a whole new level. But i'm glad he made his own decision in this issue, similarly like how jamie and val did regarding elections.
And a mark of a good leader and a person with strong character is to not be swayed by others and standing firm to what you believe in.
I'm glad that in my years of poly, especially in my final year, i've come acrossed and are surrounded by such strong charactered and brilliant leaders; Coburn, Ahmad, Sky, ber, jolene, mel, qayyum, farhan, jamie, Ju twins.
Seriously, i feel more complete. as for making the decision to step out, to try something different, I went through it myself. Sometimes, you got to step out of your comfort zone, and ignore the high pay, the glory to reach your dreams.
