10 things plus tp silat
Saturday, September 22, 2007, 20:08
Long entry ahead!! Was reading the newpaper just now and came across this nice articles on WAGs(wife-and-gfs) of football fans. 10 things you should know about your W&G 1. we find your passion for football rather sweet.Watching you cheering wildly for your team and curse at the referee is actually kinda sexy. 2. You don't have to explain to us every rule or tactic. It makes us happy just seeing you happy as you watch the game. 3. It's not that we mind you watching football but when passion turns to obsession, it can get annoying. So if you promise to get off the tv, we promise a much more exciting match will commence soon after. 4.Honey, leave it to the football experts to do the half time analysis. Not you. We don't need to know who you think should have been sent off or beaten mercilessly with the corner flag. 5. we'd appreciate a little more T.L.C during matches and not talk to us like you would to your fellow football kakis. 6.before you sulk when we ask you to take us shopping, do remind yourself of all the many times we've had to rush through our meals beacuse there was a match on TB you didn't want to miss. 7. When placing a bet on a match, please do not ask our opinion. We do not know as much about football as we claim we do. 8.We take comfort when we see how defensive you are over your team. If you're that defensice and protective over your team, what more us, your wife/gf. 9. lastly, we know you enjoy your football. Just dinf ways to occasionally make up for the many matches you've had us sit and watch with you. 10. If you insist on gluing your butt to the sofa and watching match after match over the weekend, here's an "innocent" reminder that Fergie(man utd manager) ain't the only one who has mastered the "hairdryer treatmeant". Haha nice one there. Wonder if i ever get a gf she will be like that. haha Anyway moving on.. Here is something that aida managed to do which i think is really really nice and yea.. nice. To: Coach Akhmad Radhiansyah To dearest Abg Syah (the best coach ever!), You have been there for our team since the first day we started. You are the one who have made our dreams as a team came true. Without you, TP Silat Club will not even exist in the first place. You are a very inspirational and motivational leader, someone whom we all looked up to. With your experience and your passion for Silat, it helps to bond the whole team together, with us all sharing the same goals and dreams for TP Silat. Thanks for the knowledge and skills that you have passed down to us. You have taught us well and we would like to see you coaching our members still in future. We started off as only an Interest Group, but we hope to have you around until our team becomes official in TP. Thank you for being YOU! From: Aida Raihana Bte Ramli Sport: Silat School: Temasek Polytechnic This was taken from which lists the winning entries for my coach, my heroes contest. And to be honest, I really really feel that abang rad deserves all the praise and recognition he can get. From being a national coach with the national silat team to becoming TP silat's coach, all i've heard about him is nothing but heaps and heaps of good stories and praises.Being part of TP silat, i've really experienced what he is like. And i can say that i have never seen or come under a better coach than him. Apart from knowing his stuff, he treats his charges as not mere charges but as his friends and team mates. Like what Aida has said in her entry to the competition, he really has brought the team together. If people asks us, what is the difference between TP silat and other school's silat, we all are proud to say, our JIWA. I believe that our togetherness and passion to bring TP silat to greater heights has allowed the club to excel forward. From 5 people who started the club back in 2005, TP silat now has at least 30 members who turn up for training regularly. I believe we can achieve greater things. Things happened during the last IVP, but we've all realised the mistakes we made to abang rad. He is more than just a coach to us, he is our inspirational leader and a member of the club. I guess enough said, all we can do now is train hard and better our showing in the next IVP, cause we have the talented fighters, we have ex national athletes, we have champions among us. Before IVP 2007, someone said " TP's seni team will sure be a threat cause abang rad is their coach". We didn't live up to that "threat" we didn't even managed any medals in the seni category. I'm sure with hardwork, we can justify that tag. I'm not a seni pesilat, i'm a tanding pesilat, but I will step up if needed to bring glory to the team. :) |
